We are seeking an outstanding teaching practitioner and leader to lead the development of English teaching and outcomes across our Trust. This post is an excellent opportunity for English specialists from the secondary sector who want to extend their experience beyond that of a Learning Director or Subject Head of Department. If you have been an outstanding Subject Leader/Head of Department/Leading practitioner in a secondary school this post would enable you to maintain close links with classroom practice whilst developing your own leadership potential across our family of schools (Primary and Secondary).

This role will require the post holder to work across our schools and work closely with English subject leaders and will require excellent interpersonal skills as well as outstanding subject knowledge and experience.
This is a unique role and a real opportunity to join the central trust team under the direct leadership of the Director for School Improvement.
The core purpose of the role will be to raise achievement in English and to help shape and improve the leadership of English across the Trust. It is desirable for the successful candidate to have examiner experience, knowledge and understanding of the Ofsted inspection process, and be able to take a strategic lead on a day-to-day basis to respond to the particular needs and context which may range from leading at a strategic level or running a department.
